BS/DDS Program (CE)

The B.S./D.D.S. Combined Education Program is a special curriculum at Howard University spanning the pre-dental and dental curricula. The program allows students to complete the requirements for both B.S. and D.D.S. degrees in six years instead of the traditional eight years.

The program consists of Phase One in the College of Arts and Sciences and Phase Two in the College of Den-tistry. The B.S. degree will be awarded after the first two years of the program have been successfully com-pleted; the D.D.S. degree will be awarded after all curriculum has been completed.

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)

The dental curriculum consists of courses in clinical and basic sciences, practice management, ethics, and clinical experience.  The program offers a comprehensive dental education that prepares graduates to enter the workforce as competent, professional and culturally sensitive clinicians.

Office of Continuing Professional Education

The Continuing Professional Education Program (CPEP) sponsors and co-sponsors various pharmacy-practice-based courses at the local level. The program partners with various organizations, including Howard University College of Pharmacy Alumni Association and the Washington DC Pharmacists Association to assist the metropolitan area’s pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in meeting licensure requirements while advancing their practices.
