The APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology at Howard’s Graduate School prepares students to pursue clinical work and research addressing social determinants of health in underserved communities. You may pursue the adult or child clinical track of the program. As a first-year student, you'll complete a clinical experience focused on clinical interviews and administration of cognitive/ achievement tests in a school setting. You'll apply psychotherapy skills in a second practicum experience in your second year.

Our M.A. in Economics program is designed for students and mid-career professionals who wish to apply economic theory and analysis to solve problems faced by global businesses and organizations and to address pressing societal challenges like global poverty and closing racial wealth gaps.

The Ph.D. in African Studies at Howard's Graduate School promotes rigorous interdisciplinary scholarship on critical issues pertaining to African-descended people on the African continent, in the United States, and across the Diaspora. The Ph.D. program in African Studies prepares students for academic careers in a wide range of fields, including but not limited to public policy and advocacy, public administration, cultural studies, communications, international development, international business, education, history, religious studies, transatlantic studies, and sociology.
